![]() Whoever and whatever was out there demolished me in short order. ![]() ![]() The tight little stream of luminous, golden shells shot up, tilted over, and then began expanding into a gleaming river of destruction raining down all around my pathetic scow. All of a sudden, waaaaay out there in the murk, I watched this tiny fountain of pretty gold dots begin spraying vertically upward from a single point on the horizon. But when I looked through my binoculars I didn't see anything. My radar suddenly showed a possible enemy cruiser. I was sailing around in my Tier 4 Phoenix, guarding a channel between some islands. As far as tier 9s go, it's a pretty good one.I can still recall the first time I encountered a Cleveland-class cruiser in World of Warships. I fully intend to skip Seattle, but I currently don't have the credits or a captain for the Worchester. I skipped Lyon, Alsace and a bout a third of the Buffalo grind, as well as some low-tier boats.Īnd I'm not sorry. I used free EXP to skip over a bunch of ships. I know the T10's are worth it, but I just can't face it.and I refuse to use FreeXP as I'm waiting to hear how the Alaska is going to be sold. With the exception of the Iowa and Udaloi, I haven't purchased the other ships purely because of facing the T9 grind in ships that are supposed to be rubbish. Worchester does need IFHE as much as the Cleveland, though.Ĭurrently, I have unlocked but not purchased, the DM Donskoi, Ibuki, Seattle, Iowa, Udaloi and almost done on the Buffalo. Those are some leathal (but rather squishy) deathmachines. Originally posted by Torchfire:Also, note that both tier 9 USN cruisers (Seattle and Buffalo) are pretty much total crap.
